Dr. Victor Charoenrook has been invited as a teaching assistant to the Department of Ophthalmology of the Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital belonging to Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand.

It is the first Faculty of Medicine founded in that country more than 120 years ago. It is currently the largest Faculty and Hospital in Thailand and is considered as the country's first Reference Center.

It has a medical training program with about 200 students per course and a training program in Ophthalmology, among other specialties, with 10 Resident doctors per course.

From November 21 to December 2, 2016, Dr. Charoenrook is working as a teaching assistant teaching 10 sessions between lectures and clinical sessions (Lecture Homage to Professor Joaquín Barraquer, Keratoprosthesis: what, when, how; New treatments for neurotrophic keratopathy , Dry Eye: from A to Z ... among others) for Residents and other Ophthalmologists of the Hospital. He has visited both outpatients in the consultations with resident physicians, as well as those admitted to the plant, and has been in the operating room teaching surgical techniques.

He has also taken this opportunity to exchange and suggest new ideas with the teachers responsible for improving the training of Residents in Ophthalmology. The outcome has been very positive.
