The Corporate Reputation Business Monitor, better known as Merco, completed its fifteenth edition of reputational assessment.
The Barraquer Ophthalmological Center has once again reached the monitor health reputation (MRS) podium in third place, preceded by the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital and La Paz University Hospital. Both hospitals are public, positioning our center as the leading private eye hospital, followed by the Institute of Ocular Microsurgery and the Fernandez-Vega Ophthalmological Institute in fourth and fifth place.
Merco is the first audited monitor in the world, and produces rankings for six different categories, with presence in eleven countries: Spain, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, and two in process, Costa Rica and Panama .
The methodology used by Merco to develop the rankings has been independently audited by KPMG, one of the four major global firms. In addition, the transparency of the rankings is absolute, since all weighting methods and criteria are publicly available on the Merco website.
Human and material resources, the level of technological equipment, total and average time of stay, number of beds and satisfaction or accessibility of the service are some of the criteria used by specialists to reach final conclusions, and for this we are very proud. We will continue to evolve our techniques and our professional services to continue in the top of the ranking, but above all, to be able to meet and treat the patient as we would wish to be treated.
